Christmas time is finally here! Even though this year has had very special atmosphere (not only in a good way), it would not be a proper end of the year without soaking in the Christmas spirit.

There are many challenges you do not realize straight away, when you are planning corona-safe version of Christmas Meetingfor a company of 170 people. Unfortunately, due to the current situation, all the plans have been cancelled, and we decided to stay “online” and not to meet in the office for our annual All Company Meeting.

Therefore, we organized a live stream with top management to review year 2020 briefly and share the vision for 2021. Of course, minor technical issues always occur, but our IT team always manages!

Of course, All Company Meeting is not just about reviews and plans, but also about bringing the team together and fostering the team spirit. A study by Atlassian showed that the while working remotely due to COVID, people felt closer to their team, however, more distant from the organization. Sygic culture is one of the reasons our people enjoy working here, and while staying at home, we find it crucial to keep the culture alive.

We decided to remind us of our unique Sygic spirit, and together created Sygic Chronicles 2020, where each team contributed with their photos. In the end it looks like an e-book with 30 pages devoted to the most important, funny, or challenging memories.

With Christmas presents we wanted people to remember "normal days" in the office when unpacking them, locked at home with their families. Everyone got coffee, tea and breakfast cereals, which they can usually find in the office. To support the teamwork, they got a speaker they can use for video calls.
